Jessica Wynn and Emily McMurtrey have been recognized by the AVCA (American Volleyball Coaches Association) as Under Armour Girls’ High School All-America Players to watch for in 2010. It is a great achievement to be considered for this list only 23 players from Florida are considered and TRIBE has two. Jessica Wynn will be taking her talents to the University of Pittsburgh and Emily McMurtrey will be arriving at UNC Greensboro in the fall of 2011. Congrats on this tremendous achievement!

It was an amazing run at the title for the TRIBE 17 Platinum team, last week in Reno, Nevada. Our girls came into the tournament with high expectations and a positive mindset on competing for the title in the 17 American division.
On the first two days of competition the team stuck together and pulled off an amazing 4-1 record to come out first in there pool. The next day the team went 1-1 in pool play and in doing so they were scheduled to play the # 1 seed in the tournament (Formula 1 VBC), in a crossover match to stay into the Gold Division going into the final day. The match proved to be worthy of a gold medal final. The teams split the first two sets pushing a final set to 15 for the right to move on as the # 1 seed. The game was tied 12-12 when the girls decided it was time to turn on the intensity and capture the match in dramatic fashion. On the final day of competition TRIBE 17 Platinum played JJVA the eventual Tournament champions.
The our 17 Platinum finished 5th out of 47 teams at the Jr. National Championships. We are extremely proud of all players and coaches for a great experience which will never be forgotten. The bar has been set high by the TRIBE 17 Platinum.
Thank you for an incredible year and congratulations.

One of the most powerful of our survival mechanisms is to be part of a TRIBE.
But the goal is not only to survive, but to thrive. By helping others who are less fortunate we not only become stronger and more compassionate, but more appreciative of our circumstances and the basic necessities that we so often take for granted.
This season, our TRIBE is joining Blood:Water Mission and the 1000 Wells Project to make a life saving difference in the lives of thousands of men, women, and children in sub-Saharan Africa who lack access to clean drinking water. Together, we can be a small part of a larger, beautiful story.
